Congratulations to Kingston Heirloom Quilters Mary Ann McAndrews and Marg Henshaw

 

* Mary Ann's quilt, "Common Dreams" (shown to the right), won $1000 for Bed Quilt at the 2007 Canadian Quilter's Association National Juried Show. See the Autumn 2007 issue of The Canadian Quilter.

 

 

 

 

* Marg's "Hexagon Rose" (shown below) and Mary Ann's quilt "Night Blooms" (shown to left) along with "The Totem", a piece made by Linda Hetherington, also from Kingston, are proud entrants in the World Quilt Show XI which will be touring in the U.S. (7 different venues) until May 2009.

 

 

The Canadian winners are:
Best of Canada was won by – “The Zodiac” by Martha Brown
Second in Canada went to – “The Totem” by Linda Hetherington

 

 

 

World Awards:
Best Handwork Traditional – “Hexagon Rose” by Margaret Henshaw (shown to the left)
