Sept 8, 9, 2018: "Fibrefest 2018 "
Local guilds will demonstrate spinning, knitting, weaving, rug hooking, lace making, smocking and quilting. Vendors include spinners, weavers, and fibre artists from across the province. This will happen in Almonte, at these locations Almonte Community Centre, 182 Bridge St, Almonte; Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, 3 Rosamond St E, Almonte. Hours and fees: Saturday, September 8: 10 am to 5 pm, Sunday, September 9: 10 am to 4 pm. Admission to Fibrefest is $5.00 per day, which includes access to all sites.
